Applications for trees protected by TPOs or within conservation areas

It is often the case that trees are covered by a TPO (Tree protection order), or fall within a Conservation area. These forms of protection are put in place to prevent unnecessary works being carried out on trees which may offer amenity value, or offer another benefit to its location.

How to get around TPO protected trees

In any case, should a tree be covered by a TPO, an application to the council must be made to carry any form of work to the tree, from felling to pruning. This is a service we are able to offer, to minimise any complications for customers. The process can take anywhere up to 6 weeks, so if you are keen to have your work done sooner rather than later, it is always beneficial to get in touch with plenty of time for the application process to be completed prior to works.
